J'expose en province (prix de la ville de Biarritz en 2007 et 2010) et à Paris. Mon atelier parisien est ouvert.
I try to use the technique that I find suited to my subject and my idea. I don't necessarily choose the technique in advance and I take all the techniques with me. I work from life, at least for the preparatory drawing.
In the Surexposés series,
all the works are created on the spot but this work subsequently allowed me to systematize a technique outside the subject, to keep only the atmosphere, the strength of the graphics and the composition. For Surexposés, I only made works in the studio, sometimes from memory and approaching abstraction.
I'm not trying to exclude trash from my first plans. I don't idealize and I don't look for a recipe for beauty. I find the expected and systematic effects of watercolor boring and I try not to control that. Restitution of my emotion is my only course of action.
