Buying an artwork, directly from the artist
No marketplace here: you talk to the artist, you pay the artist. MycreArt provides their tools — and takes 0% MycreArt commission.
From discovery to the work on your wall
Three steps — and at each one, your contact is the same person: the artist.
Discover
Browse the gallery by category, technique, style or theme. The “Available for sale” filter shows the works looking for a wall.
Contact or acquire
From the artwork's page on MycreArt, write to the artist — price, availability, details, everything is discussed directly. If they offer online sales, a link takes you to their artist website, where the “Acquire” button lets you pay for the artwork securely by card.
Receive
The artist organises the shipment or hand-over, and keeps you informed. Terms, timing and returns are agreed with them — it's their sale.
Who does what when you buy
Three things to know — they explain why your money goes further here.
You buy from the artist
The sale is concluded between you and them. MycreArt provides the tools — site, payment, documents — but is never a party to the sale and never holds the funds.
0% MycreArt commission
The displayed price goes to the artist: the card payment travels from your bank to theirs, with no MycreArt cut. No hidden marketplace margin.
Your contact is the artist
A question about the work, the framing, the shipping? The person who answers is the one who made it — not a support desk. That's the pleasure of buying direct.
What comes with a serious purchase
Artists equipped with the pro tools provide documents you can verify.
The certificate of authenticity
Issued by the artist, with a verification QR code: you check the document's authenticity online, today as in ten years — useful at resale too.
The invoice or receipt
After an online payment, you receive a confirmation. The artist's invoice or receipt may be attached under their settings.
The link that remains
At an exhibition, scan the QR on a label: you keep the artwork in your scan history and the artist's contact in your phone.
Not every artist offers them. These tools come with Pro mode. The “Acquire” button appears on the artist's own website when they offer online sales — otherwise, direct contact always works.
What buyers ask
No — and that's the principle of buying direct: the sale is concluded between you and the artist; MycreArt is not a party to it and never holds the funds. In exchange, no commission is added to the price. The usual good habits apply, as anywhere: prefer card payment (which gives you banking recourse) over a transfer, and keep your exchanges in writing.
Scan the certificate's QR code: it opens an online verification page confirming the authenticity of the document and the associated artwork. Verification stays available at any time, even years after the purchase — including for a future buyer at resale.
Contact the artist from the artwork's page on MycreArt: that's the normal route, and many artists sell only directly. Price, availability, hand-over or shipping — everything is discussed with them.
Yes. Payment takes place on a secure Stripe page. Your card details are accessible to neither MycreArt nor the artist. Stripe processes the payment on the artist's behalf: MycreArt never holds the funds.
The artist: they pack and ship their work, or hand it over in person. When they sell online, their terms (shipping or pickup, return window) are shown at checkout. For the rest, talk it through with them before paying.
Yes — that's the whole point of buying direct. The contact button on every artwork page puts you in touch with the artist themselves: condition, framing, the story of the piece, terms… You're buying from a person, not a catalogue.
The work is somewhere in the gallery
Living artists, available works, and direct contact on every page.
