Issue a certificate of authenticity

The certificate is created in one click for any artwork whose sheet has its dimensions. Before the first one, set your signature: it signs every certificate, and it is what the buyer looks at first.

The whole task on video, from the signature to the certificate, and what Revoke does.

Before you start

Screen 1 · Documents

In the menu, open Documents, then Certificates of authenticity.

The Documents page, Sell and protect section: the Certificates of authenticity card.

Screen 2 · My certificates of authenticity

Click Signature. Only once: it will be used on all your certificates.

The My certificates of authenticity page: the Signature and New certificate buttons.

Screen 3 · My signature

Sign inside the frame, with your finger on a phone or the mouse. Or click Upload a photo: your signature in black felt pen on a white sheet, photographed in daylight; the background is removed automatically.

The My signature page: the signature drawn on the bottom of a certificate, the Undo last stroke, Clear all and Import a photo links.

Click Place this signature on my certificates. Without a signature, The calligraphic name signs your certificates: correct, but it is not your hand.

The rest of the My signature page: The calligraphic name, the Use my legal name box, and the Set this signature on my certificates button.

Screen 4 · New certificate

Back in My certificates of authenticity, click New certificate: the Eligible artworks list shows your artworks that are ready. Click Generate next to the artwork.

The New certificate page: the Eligible artworks list, an artwork with its photo, dimensions and technique, and the Generate button.

Done

The certificate is created, with its number. Find it in My certificates of authenticity: PDF to send or print, Verify online to see the page the buyer opens by scanning the QR code, Copy verification link to send it to them. The certificate is frozen: its details will not change, even if you edit the sheet.

The confirmation message: Certificate no. CERT-2026-0029 generated successfully.

The certificate sheet, where everything is:

The certificate sheet: its number, Valid certificate, the artwork photo, its details, and the PDF, Verify online and More actions buttons.

Revoke: what it is for

Revoking means canceling a certificate already issued: a mistake in its details, a destroyed artwork, a dispute. On its sheet, More actions then Revoke this certificate, with a reason. It cannot be undone: the verification page shows the warning to whoever scans the QR code, and the artwork becomes eligible for a new certificate. Never revoke to send a PDF again: download it again, it is the same original.

The More actions menu of the certificate sheet: Copy the verification link, Revoke this certificate.

After revocation:

The sheet of a revoked certificate: the Revoked state, the date and the reason.

What if…

The artwork is not in the list?

Two possible reasons: its sheet has no height or width, or it already has a valid certificate — an artwork has only one at a time. Complete the sheet, and it appears in Eligible artworks.

The buyer lost their certificate?

Send them the same PDF again from My certificates of authenticity. Do not create a second certificate for the same artwork: two originals with two numbers is exactly what a certificate must prevent.

From the artwork sheet?

Same result: on the artwork sheet, the More actions menu offers Generate a certificate.

At the time of a sale?

The certificate is generated and sent with the receipt or invoice, from the sale sheet: see Record a sale and send its documents.
