View an artwork on a wall, at real scale
View an artwork at the right scale and see how much space it would take up on your wall: in a gallery scene, on a photo of your interior or in augmented reality.
Artwork at real scale · 10 wall colors · Your own wall photo
Included in Pro mode, on every public artwork page and on your Pro Site.
Project yourself in three gestures
From a wall-hung artwork page in the MycreArt gallery or on the artist's Pro Site, as soon as its dimensions are filled in.
-
1
Open “View on a wall”
The artwork appears hung in a quiet room, with a 1.40 m bench giving the scale. Its real dimensions are displayed above.
-
2
Adjust the scene
Move the artwork, switch between ten gallery wall colours — a wall suited to the artwork's colours is suggested by default.
-
3
Bring it home
Load a photo of your own wall, then select “Real size” and provide the width of a known object. You can also launch augmented reality when it is available on mobile.
From the gallery wall to your living room
The same discipline in all three: the artwork is never distorted, and the scale is true.
The gallery wall
A spare room, ten wall colours, a bench that gives the scale. The artwork photo stays faithful: no retouching, no cropping.
A photo of your wall
Load a photo of your interior, then select “Real size”. Place the two markers at the ends of an object whose width you know — for example, a 2-metre sofa — and enter its measurement. The artwork is then shown at the correct scale. The photo stays on your device — it is never uploaded.
At home, in augmented reality
When the option is available on a compatible phone, the model uses the dimensions and depth entered for the artwork. Placement accuracy then also depends on the phone and its wall detection.
What we get asked about real-scale visualisation
In the gallery scene, yes: the artwork and the 1.40 m bench share the same scale, provided the dimensions entered by the artist are accurate. On a personal photo, select “Real size”, place the two markers on an object whose width you know and enter its measurement. In augmented reality, the model uses the artwork's dimensions, but placement accuracy also depends on the phone and its wall detection.
No. It is read locally by your browser and never transmitted: it does not leave your device.
It relies on Apple's and Google's native technologies and is limited to compatible devices. On other devices the button does not appear — the gallery scene and a calibrated photo of your wall remain available.
“View on a wall” comes with Pro artists' artwork pages in the MycreArt gallery and on their Pro Site, for wall-hung works whose dimensions are filled in. Sculptures and volumes are not concerned.
