Send a sale proposal

A buyer wants an artwork and you agree on the price. Instead of a back-and-forth of messages, send them a page where they accept and pay in one click: the artwork is reserved for them as soon as you create the proposal.

Open “New proposal” In your artist space.
The whole task on video, from creation to the buyer's acceptance.

Before you start

Screen 1 · Sales

In the menu, open Sales, then click New proposal. On a phone, it is the pencil button, next to the +.

The top of the Sales page: the Sales, Buyers, Payment links and Buyer e-mails tabs, and the New proposal and New sale buttons.

Screen 2 · New proposal

Leave Existing artwork(s) selected, then click Select artworks: tick the artwork and Confirm selection. Its price comes from its sheet.

The New proposal form: "What are you offering?" with Existing artwork(s) selected, then the Proposed artworks block and its Select artworks button.

In Payment and validity, keep Full amount and choose the Payment method: Online payment with Stripe so the buyer pays by card from the page, otherwise the method agreed with them.

The Payment and validity block: 30% deposit, 50% deposit, Custom amount, Full amount; the Payment method menu set to Online payment via Stripe.

In Buyer and document, enter their first name, last name and Email: the e-mail is what allows sending in one click.

The Buyer and document block: Individual or Company, then First name, Last name, E-mail and Phone.

At the bottom, click Create the proposal. Nothing is sent yet: you first see the page exactly as the buyer will.

The bottom of the form: the proposal language and the bar with Cancel and Create the proposal, followed by the amount.

Screen 3 · The proposal sheet

Check with View the page as your buyer, then click Send by email. Prefer to send it yourself, by message or Instagram? Copy link.

The proposal sheet: Proposal created, then Next step — Send the proposal to the buyer, with Send by e-mail, Copy the link and View the page as your buyer.

Done

The buyer receives an e-mail with the link to their page: they see the artwork at the agreed price and click Accept and pay the amount. You receive an e-mail when they accept, then the sale becomes paid as soon as the payment is confirmed — in Sales, it runs like any other sale, receipt and certificate included.

The page the buyer receives, on the artist's website: the artwork, its price, and the Accept and pay button.

On your side, the sheet follows every step:

The proposal sheet after sending: Proposal created, Proposal sent, then Next step — Get the sale paid.

What if…

The buyer has not answered?

On the sheet, Resend payment request sends the e-mail again, or Copy link to nudge them by message. A Expiry date (optional), set at creation, makes the page expire on the date you choose: they know they have to decide.

They paid directly, by bank transfer or in cash?

On the sheet, click Mark as paid: the sale is recorded with that payment method, and the documents follow as for any sale.

They would rather pay in two installments?

At creation, choose 30% deposit (or 50%, or a custom amount): they pay the deposit when accepting, the artwork is reserved, and you ask for the rest whenever you want with Request the balance.

You change your mind, or they do?

On the sheet, Cancel sale: the buyer's page closes and the artwork, reserved since the proposal was created, is for sale again.
