Connect my domain name to my Pro Site

Your website stays reachable at its mycre.art address. With your own domain name, it also answers at the address you bought, and that is the one your visitors see.

Open “Settings” In your artist space.

Before you start

Screen 1 · Settings

In the menu, open Pro Site, then the Settings card.

The Pro Site page: under the preview, the Sales and Settings cards.

Unfold Custom domain and type your domain, without www or https, for example marie-dupont.art.

The website settings, Custom domain panel unfolded: the explanation, the three steps, and the Custom domain field filled with marie-dupont.art.

At the bottom of the page, click Save.

The bottom of the settings page: the bar with View my site and Save.

Screen 2 · Configure my domain

The domain is Pending: click Verify my domain.

The Custom domain panel with the Pending state and the Verify my domain link.

At your registrar, in the domain's DNS zone, create the two records shown: A, name @ (or empty), with the IP address shown — Copy avoids typos — and CNAME, name www, with the value shown. If an A or CNAME record already exists for @ or www, replace it.

The Set up my domain page: the required A record (type A, name @, value = the IP address, Copy button) and the recommended CNAME record for www.

Come back to this page and click Verify my domain. Propagation takes from a few minutes to 48 hours: if verification fails, try again later, the records stay in place.

The bottom of the Set up my domain page: the note about DNS propagation and the Verify my domain button.

Done

The domain becomes Verified: your website answers at your address, over https, and the mycre.art address redirects to it. Nothing to change on your cards or networks: both addresses lead to the same website.

What if…

Where is the DNS zone at my registrar?

OVH: Web Cloud, Domain names, your domain, “DNS zone” tab. Gandi: your domain, “DNS records”. Ionos: Domains & SSL, your domain, “DNS”. Elsewhere, look for “DNS” or “records” on the domain's page.

Verification still fails after 48 hours?

Compare character by character: the A record value must be exactly the IP address shown, with no other A record for @; www must be a CNAME, not an A record. If the domain is still “parked” at the registrar, disable that parking.

www works, but not the bare domain? Or the other way round?

The bare domain depends on the A record, www on the CNAME: the missing one is the one that does not answer. Fix it, wait a little, then Verify my domain.

Change domain?

In Settings, replace the domain and save: the DNS records must be redone at the new registrar. Changes are limited to avoid back-and-forth, so choose carefully before typing.
