Domain name

Connect your custom domain name to the Pro Site

An address in your name, instead of yourname.mycre.art. Two DNS records, one verification, and you're live.

Two possible addresses

Free subdomain or personal domain

Both work with Pro. Choose what fits your project.

Included with Pro

The free subdomain

votrenom.mycre.art

  • No extra cost, active as soon as you subscribe to Pro.
  • Automatic HTTPS, no DNS configuration needed.
  • Editable from your dashboard, within the set limit.
Bought from a registrar

Your own domain name

votrenom.com · votrenom.fr · votrenom.art

  • Roughly €10–15 per year at a registrar (OVH, Gandi, Infomaniak…).
  • An address in your name only, independent of any service.
  • DNS setup at the registrar, then automatic HTTPS handled by MycreArt.

The free subdomain is plenty for many artists. Start with it, then connect a personal domain whenever you want.

Which extension to choose?

.com

The most widespread extension, recognized worldwide.

.fr

To anchor your identity with local galleries and collectors.

.art

Specific to artists and art institutions. Evocative.

.studio

To highlight your studio or your practice.

Avoid little-known exotic extensions. .com, .fr, .art or .studio inspire more confidence.

Second step

Configure the DNS records

DNS tells the internet where to find your site. You add two records at your registrar.

The exact values (server IP address, CNAME target) are shown in your MycreArt dashboard once you've entered your domain. Copy them directly from there; this guide shows the general structure.

A

A record — main domain

It points your root domain (yourname.com) to MycreArt's server IP address.

Type

A

Name / Host

@

Value / Target

IP provided by MycreArt

CNAME

CNAME record — www version

It points www.yourname.com to MycreArt's infrastructure.

Type

CNAME

Name / Host

www

Value / Target

sites.mycre.art

At OVHcloud

Customer area → Domains → your domain → DNS Zone → Add an entry. Choose A then CNAME.

At Gandi

Domains → your domain → DNS Records → Add. Enter A for the root domain (the @ field) and CNAME for www.

At Infomaniak

Manager → Domains → your domain → DNS Zone → Add a record. Type A then CNAME.

Third step

Verify your domain in MycreArt

Three clicks in the dashboard, and HTTPS generates itself.

  1. 1

    Enter your domain

From your dashboard, open Pro Site → Settings, expand the Custom domain section and enter your address (no http:// or www).

  2. 2

    Follow the DNS instructions

MycreArt shows the exact values to configure at your registrar: IP address for the A record, target for the CNAME. Use the Copy button.

  3. 3

    Click Verify

Once the DNS records are saved at your registrar, return to the verification page and click Verify my domain. Once validated, HTTPS is generated automatically.

DNS propagation: a bit of patience

When you change your DNS records, the new configuration spreads gradually: plan for anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours. If verification fails, wait and retry with the values shown in MycreArt. To track propagation from any country, use dnschecker.org.
