Gallery consignment: track your consigned works
Clear tracking to work confidently with a gallery: entrusted works, commission and your net amount, in one place.
Stay in control of your consigned works
What's entrusted, where, on what terms, and which commissions are planned.
Consignment slip PDF
Generate a numbered consignment slip with the inventory of entrusted works and the agreed terms. Consignment, exhibition or loan: all three cases are covered.
"On consignment" status
Each selected artwork moves to "On consignment" status. You can see at a glance what's at the gallery and what's still in the studio.
Commission and net amount
The agreed commission is recorded on the consignment. On a sale, MycreArt computes the gallery's share and the net amount you keep.
Consignment reference
For each consignment: number of entrusted works, total value, gallery and agreed terms. You keep the context without digging through messages.
Search by gallery
Find a consignment by number or by gallery name. Your active consignments stay available from your dashboard.
Via gallery
When you record a gallery sale, MycreArt applies the consignment's gallery and commission to compute your net amount.
Prepare a consignment in three steps
From selecting the works to a signed consignment slip.
-
1
Select the works
Choose the works to entrust from your inventory. Their sale price and details are already filled in.
-
2
Set the terms
Gallery, commission, duration, insurance, transport, exclusivity: you set the terms agreed with the gallery.
-
3
Issue the consignment slip
MycreArt generates the consignment slip PDF, numbered, in French or English (your choice), ready to be signed by both parties.
The consignment slip records the terms agreed between you and the gallery; it serves as a shared reference — the app doesn't monitor the deadlines on your behalf.
What a consignment slip should set out
A few points are better written down than left implied.
Commission and payment
The gallery's commission rate (often 30% to 50%) and the payment term after sale. Write this deadline into the slip and invoice the gallery as soon as the sale is confirmed.
Insurance and liability
Who insures the works during consignment — the artist, the gallery, or both. Specify the coverage in case of damage, theft or loss.
Duration and returns
The consignment period, its renewal or end, and how unsold works are returned, defined in advance.
Exclusivity and territory
Whether the gallery has exclusive selling rights, in what territory and for how long. These clauses are written into the consignment slip.
Frequently asked questions
Very useful. Without a written record, the agreed terms are hard to prove in case of disagreement. A signed consignment slip protects both the artist and the gallery: it sets the commission, insurance, duration and returns.
Gallery commissions generally range from 30% to 50% of the sale price. The rate depends on the gallery, the artist's reputation and the services included (promotion, opening, transport). MycreArt records the agreed rate to compute your net amount.
From your dashboard, your consignments are listed with the entrusted works and the gallery. A search by number or gallery name finds a specific consignment, and three indicators summarize the whole: works on consignment, total value and number of galleries.
You record the sale on the relevant work and choose the “Via gallery” type. MycreArt applies the consignment's gallery and commission to compute your net amount. For a direct sale, the gallery commission is not applied.
It depends on what the consignment slip provides. If insurance is the gallery's responsibility, it's up to them to declare the claim. This is why it pays to define responsibilities from the start.
It's the most useful document. A list of works, dimensions, condition at the time of handover and agreed price, signed by both parties on delivery, serves as the reference in case of disagreement about the initial state or a partial return. The MycreArt consignment slip plays this role.
